Took a break from my normal morning entry, so I'll squeeze one in here tonight....
Full and enjoyable day of watching my seven-year old daughter at her gymnastics competition in Mahomet today. She had a great day--a first, a third, and a fourth in her three events--but mostly, she had fun and did the very best job she could. Anna cares about it a great deal, and she works and practices hard to be good at it. But mostly, I am taken by her love for it--she competes with such a sense of joy, so much so that I wish all of us could find that in the things we do. It is, after all, what God wishes for our lives, to do all we do with a sense of joy. Easier said than done I suppose, but it was beautiful to watch today.
The full day of attending the meet also gave me a full day of physical rest, and much needed. I am looking forward to getting back at it tomorrow.
