Is It Possible?

A grueling week of training so far, but loving it and feeling great. Trying to keep up with Luke and Tuck is tough--those guys are beasts. It's like trying to bike alongside Lance Armstrong or paint against Picasso.

But it's so worth it. I have been really blessed over the past couple years in that I am doing things in my training that I would have never imagined possible five or ten years ago. Of course, back then I had no relationship with God (even though I may have told you I did), and so letting God into my life has changed lots of things, not just my workouts.

"I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." --Matthew 17:20

In a world full of diminished expectations, knowing that all things are possible is refreshing. More than that, it gives life a whole new affirmation and purpose. My AdvoCare buddy Brent always asks people what they would attempt if they knew they couldn't fail, and it's an awesome question. We back away from dreaming or trying new things because we've beaten ourselves down to think that our failure is imminent.

I'm no Biblical scholar, but I think in the verse above, Jesus is stressing the constancy of our faith, not the size of it. We can have "mustard seed faith', as long as we have it constantly and apply it toward all things. When we put our faith and trust fully and constantly in God, He will move things in our lives that we might have never imagined possible. I joke around a lot that I am an old dog learning new tricks, and it's really true. If you are reading this and you need an example of someone defying the odds and doing some things that would have never seemed possible before, I'm your guy. And I'm nothing special when it comes to ability or talent, so believe me: if these new things can happen for me, they can certainly happen for you too.

Today's challenge: What is something that you might see as impossible for your life? Have you handed it over to God and asked Him to move on your behalf? Be bold; give it up to God in prayer, trust His providence, and then go for it.
